A great sounding event venue
The acoustics in the Serendipity event venue are fantastic. The shape of the room creates an amazing sound bubble. The building was originally a grocery warehouse and was built with a sloping floor. That makes the room taller at the stage and this helps create a great sound. The heavy well-aged pine exposed ceiling joists vibrate with the sound like the underside of a guitar or cello. The original builders had no idea they created one of the best sounding rooms in all of Columbia, MO for music, lectures, and conversation. This means your event's music can be at a pleasant volume and enjoyed anywhere in the space, and conversions are easy to carry on. The space also features a wonderful grand piano which is available for events and recitals.

The Serendipity event venue is conveniently located in The North Village Arts District in Columbia, MO. There are several municipal parking lots and garages very close by. All three colleges and universities are only a few minutes away. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, and entertainment options within a short walk. Events can use the courtyard in front of our building for adding an outdoor element to the celebration as well.

The Serendipity event venue is comfortable for 50 people seated at round tables, and can easily accommodate 75 with various other configurations of seating. 100 people fit well in a reception setting.
